Finally the industry association we have all been waiting for. If you’re part of global organisation or an independent contractor the process of finding a good lifting gear inspector has always been a gamble. Under Australian Standards the inspector is deemed competent through experience and skills, leaving a legacy of inconsistency and subjective interpretation during your lifting gear inspection. Enter LEEA (The Lifting Equipment Engineers association) the globally recognised trade association for all those involved in the design, manufacture, hire, repair, refurbishment, maintenance and use of lifting equipment.

Ranger’s General Manager Ashley Thacker was among the first in Australia to obtain a team card. “Previously there was no formal training for an inspector. You had to rely on been taught by industry veterans and often the bad habits or incorrect interpretations were passed down over and over again. LEEA’s diploma course is based around Australian Standards. Qualified lifting equipment engineers are all completing lifting inspections to the same quality & standard”
